Watershed has a modern setup with a separate restaurant and a cafe each with a different menu. The cellar door sits on a small rise with stunning views over the vineyard and a large blue water lake with gum trees lining the border of the property in the distance.
Watershed has a large range of wines to try but unfortunately the winery did itself no favours by only giving our tour group wine from the cheaper range to taste (though all if not most wines were available to try). They would have done a much better job if they showcased different wines from across their range from their cheapest to their flagship wines. You would safely assume that going up in price would give you better quality wine. The restaurant is regarded as one of the better in the region and with an informal cafe as well it gives people plenty of options for families or couples.
The views are stunning and as a whole it’s a wonderful winery setup for people to visit and wallow the hours away.
