Battle of Bosworth

The tree lined drive leads to a smaller cellar door. An outdoor paved area with a couple of tables looks out to the tall gums with the vineyard just beyond.
Two ranges of wines are available for tasting being the Spring Seed wines as well as the Bosworth wines both are made from organically grown vines. We start with the Spring Seed Pinot Grigio that was very good and then jump to the battle of Bosworth Chardonnay that was very classy. We continued through the Battle of Bosworth range of wines trying their Shiraz which was excellent and the “White Boar” is an Amarone inspired wine.
Amarone is Italian techniques were the grapes are dried on racks concentrating the flavours. Here the cane (vine branches) is cut and the grapes are left on the vines to dry. The wine was excellent and showed those intense flavours you would expect. The last wine we tried was a classy Cabernet/Shiraz/Petit Verdot.
With an excellent range of wines and friendly service this makes a wonderful stop while touring.
