Located in the township of Bright overlooking the park that runs down to the Ovens River, the brewery has grown since our last visit to include an excellent outdoor deck with numerous tables with views down to the park and now serves good food to match the range of beers. This was our lunch pit stop and we started with some juicy pork sliders and washed it down with a quality larger. We ordered some excellent malt salted fries and aioli and a prawn and chorizo pizza that went down a treat, though the Pete’s Porka and another pizza was less impressive.
A tasting tray of six beers is one way to get a sample of some of the beers that they do. We finished off with a quality cider and Stubborn Russian Stout that was infused with coffee and chocolate (almost a meal in itself). The day we visited was very hot but inside the air conditioner kept things cool, while outside “misters” of fine water kept the punters feeling refreshed.

We found the Bright Brewery on one of the hottest days of the year. Being a boys weekend they satisfied our needs for beer and we tried most of the different types. The food was also very good and the pizzas were a stand out. Followed by a swim in the river behind to cool off. Will be back.
