Edgecombe Brothers

You might well feel a bit lost when you stumble into Edgecombe’s. It doesn’t have the traditional cellar door feeling. In fact, I’m not really sure how to describe it. Maybe a café, cellar door, produce stand, but even that’s not quite right. However disjointed it may look, they’ve got a few things going for them. Firstly they are quickly gaining a reputation for making the best burgers in the area, the service is some of the best in town, their breakfast is awesome and you won’t find any better asparagus this side of wherever else they grow asparagus. They’re all the things that count, right?  There is a small fee to taste their wines and while they weren’t all to my liking, there was some standouts. Their Sparkling I could drink by the bottleful (I’m not normally a fan of Blanc de Blanc style) and the Chardonnay is so good you won’t want to share.
