Affectionately and appropriately called the “Room in a shed”, this very clever cellar door is a glass room in amongst the working winery where all the wine and barrels are stored. When we visited on a very cold winters day the cellar door was super cosy yet we could still soak up the history and atmosphere and see all the beautiful big old barrels through the glass walls.
Crayons were offered to little ones to keep the occupied, while we tried many of the wines. The cellar door manager was great in explaining about the wines and the rich history surrounding the five generations of Morris family winemaking. The list of wines is dominated by big reds and of course its range of fantastic fortified wines. There are some other options including Sparkling wines, some sherry style wines and a couple of whites.

This is definitely a winery for those that love their wine. Very knowledgeable staff and a great selection. Morris are a large producer in the area and their focus is the wine (and not food etc). The glass walled tasting room is an amazing space when it is busy!
