Pindarie

This winery is a little further out from the majority of cellar doors, but worth the drive. They serve delicious platters for a casual feed and if you have kids it is a great spot for the whole family as Pindarie is very child friendly.
A historic homestead holds the cellar door, which has various seating options inside. On this glorious day most people chose to perch out on the verandah or a little way from the homestead at one of the many tables under the large shady tree. The view of the hills gently rolling away to the undulating valley in the distance are magnificent.
Two whites were on offer a Savagnin (a Spanish grape variety) and an off dry Riesling. For something different they had a Tempranillo blend and a gorgeous straight Tempranillo. As we were trying the wines there was a constant parade of deliciously looking platters whizzing past.
In one corner of the room the little ones are well looked after with a play mat, stools and table, their own play kitchen and plenty of toys. On the verandah was a basket of various balls for kids of all ages to throw and kick on the large open spaces. We finished our tasting with a wonderful Cabernet and the Black Hinge Shiraz.
A great winery for the family with everyone taken care of.
