Samuel’s Gorge

Past the lavender plants this small cottage setup has wonderful views across to the national park.
Inside it’s a bit museum and a bit like a room that time forgot with an old olive press and other bits to grab your curiosity. A coffee machine is ready and waiting to give you a pick me up. Samuel Gorge has a small list of wines and produce only red wine but boy do they do it well. We started with a beautiful Grenache, followed by a Tempranillo that was just as classy and finished with a good Shiraz from a difficult vintage.
Outside tables and chairs sit underneath the verandah with views to the national park and make an ideal spot for a glass of one of their very good wines or a coffee to recharge you for the next place.
