This time the owner took us through his wines while his son the winemaker attended the maturation of the wines in the vats to one side. Six wines were on tasting with an excellent Chardonnay first up which was followed by a Tempranillo, a Cabernet blend and three different Shiraz. The wines were served in beautiful glassware and our host was fantastic in explaining each of the wines to us.
What stood out at Sanguine was the quality of the wines across the board from their Chardonnay to their Flagship Shiraz and everything in between. It was clear when we moved onto the reds and tasted their entry-level Shiraz that we were in for a real treat on the two remaining Shiraz. The wines were consistently good across the board and Sanguine would be the perfect stop for those wanting to add to their own cellar.
