St Leonards

The main entrance to the cellar door weaves through a maze of old large wine barrels before opening up to the tasting room at the rear, then out to a beautiful picturesque grassed area that is slightly elevated and overlooks a gumtree lined billabong of the Murray River.
Less formal than its bigger brother, All Saints, St Leonards is a great winery where families can take the walking track down to the river or just relax at one of the many picnic tables scattered outside that take advantage of the elevated view.
A good selection of over a dozen wines are on offer in the tasting room, from Sparkling through to some fortifieds. A small gallery behind the tasting room shows of local artwork and a cafe is open the first Saturday of every month and Public Holidays from 12pm.

St Leonards have a fantastic location over looking the Murray River but only have limited opening hours, so beware! They hold many events on the grassy slopes which are worth looking out for. When we attended, the cellar door was about to close but the staff were happy to stay open just a little longer for us.
