Taste Eden Valley

Located just off the main drag in the pretty town of Angaston, “Taste Eden Valley” represents about a dozen of the smaller wineries that don’t have their own tasting facilities. A lovely cottage complete with rose gardens has been converted into a wonderful cellar door with a modern fit out. Grab a seat at the communal table or a spot at the bar.
The wines available for tasting are on rotation, otherwise the amount of wines would be scary, even for the most highly trained drinker. A great selection of wines both red and white were available for sampling. Our host was amazing as she talked about each of the wines and the winery they were from. The wines we tried were all excellent across the board and if you are someone who is looking for some classy wines from lesser known producers then this is the cellar door for you.
There were many highlights but the two Merlots from Irvine Wines were so good, that winemaker James Irvine had the French come over to find out what he was doing that made his Merlots world class.
