Two hands have made a statement with this stylish cellar door facility and with that comes an expectation that the product will be of the same high quality. Two Hands did not let us down with their quality wines or the service from their staff.
This modern funky cellar door takes a more structured approach to wine tasting. A tasting fee applies and goes to the Two Hands Uganda fund that supports orphans. We were encouraged to have a seat and chose the bar over the rear outdoor decking with large market umbrellas. We started our tasting with an Eden Valley Riesling and were given a little sampler of sliced baguette, jamon and olive oil, also made by Two Hands. The eight wines on our tasting were brought over and poured for us which made us feel like we were being waited on at a top restaurant. (Very clever approach) We were given the right amount of time to sit and savour the wine, and without having to prompt anyone our next wine would appear. Our host told us a little about each wine as it was poured. The wines were strong across the board, with us sampling along the way a Riesling, Moscato and several quality reds.
A beautiful Muscat rounded off the experience making us feel as though we were sitting in first class on an airplane. Visiting wineries should be about the experience, otherwise we would just go to the bottle shop to buy our wine. Two Hands understands this better than most. Jump off the highway of life, take a deep breath and relax in the capable hands of the Two Hands staff and you will thank me for ever.

If I could fill my wine fridge with nothing but Two Hands wine, I’d be a happy boy. Every wine I’ve ever tried from them has been ‘smile-on-your-face’ fantastic! Always great fruit and structure!
