The problem with some large wineries is that it is all too easy to become like a large business. It becomes all about the numbers rather than what it started with in the beginning, passion to do it right and make quality wine for people to enjoy. Yering Station is one of the largest set-ups in the Yarra Valley and I beg you not to be put off by this fact. There is passion amongst the staff in all the areas and a real heart beating away with a family run feel about the place. There is plenty to see and do including artwork, A great farmer’s market every 3rd Sunday of each month, a produce store, restaurant, fantastic views and a great cellar door. The reason this cellar door is great, apart from serving a diverse range of excellent wines, is that Yering Station realizes not everyone drinks wine. Say someone like “kids”. If you don’t drink wine and I should slap you for that. Then go crazy on the concrete floor of the tasting room with coloured chalk provided by the staff and let the rest of us drink wine in peace.
The many facets of Yering Station make for an enjoyable day out.

We have been to Yering Station on several occasions and have never been disappointed. We need to go back and eat at the restaurant having looked at the menu. The wines we tasted were some of the best we have had in the Yarra Valley. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely time exploring the grounds and the staff at our tasting were fantastic and friendly. The wines I enjoyed very much and they have an excellent produce store with a cafe above it. It would thoroughly recommend anyone visiting the Yarra Valley to stop at Yering Station
